CAP Theorem - Partition is a verb

CravingLogic: I just don't understand how people continue to do this. Are we really going to try and sell thoughtless articles as our own? With the same 4 fill-in-the-blank sentence structures?Who is impressed by this? What purpose does this serve?

rdtsc: Yeah I am wondering how this got on the front page. I am glad the author is discovering the meaning of words and the basics of distributed systems. But yeah partition doesn’t mean sharding or performance, or parfait.

CravingLogic: I just realized my original comment can be read in two ways. I was focusing on the blatant llm-sourced content. I don't think the author has even read this article so I doubt they discovered or learned anything.

OJFord: The misunderstanding here wasn't noun vs. verb, it was 'subset of data' vs. network partition.
